The Styrian capital of Graz is a fairytale destination and a lively place for a visit in the Advent period.
Christmas markets in Graz are held from from 20 November to 24 December 2020 and one advantage is that each market is not that far away from the next.
There are also new surprises: a magical avenue of lights illuminates the path from the town hall to the magnificently decorated Christmas tree on the main square. Fairytale-like Christmas projections dance across the new white roofs of the Advent huts.
You can smell punch and mulled wine in the air all over the city. Several markets specialise in handicrafts. For example, you can find unusual things from around the world at the market at the Tummelplatz.

For lovers of fine arts and crafts, the “ARTvent” in the somewhat remote Joanneum quarter is a popular destination. It will take place from 27 November to 23 December 2020. Artists and craftsmen from the “Steirische Initiative Kunsthandwerk” (STIKH) will offer their pieces at the stands. Christmas decorations are on offer as well as practical and artistic items made of glass, wood, ceramics, felt and wool.
