Innsbruck is offering a special Advent guided walk around the different Christmas markets in the city.

Each of the enchanting Christmas markets has its own character: for romantics or families, high above the city or in the oldest part of town – the Christmas magic in Innsbruck is varied and individual.

The small market in Innsbruck’s oldest district St. Nikolaus is located on the north side of the Inn and can be reached from the station Löwenhaus of the Hungerburgbahn in a few minutes on foot. It offers traditional music, homemade biscuits and a quiet atmosphere against the backdrop of the colourful front of houses on the Inn.

Wilten Christmas Magic
(25 November to 21 December 2019)

The market offers cultural diversity, culinary delights from the region and an unmistakable Tyrolean flair. The delightful atmosphere of the Wiltener Platzl in lantern light, with its individual small shops and market stalls, makes the market a popular “after-work meeting place” for many Innsbruckers.

And if you want to walk a little further, Innsbruck’s youngest Christmas market, the “Kaiserweihnacht”, can be found at the foot of the Bergiselschanze. Traditional craftsmanship, creative children’s programmes, local musicians and Christmas delicacies invite you to linger from 22 November to 22 December 2019 from Friday to Sunday from 11:00 – 20:00.
