Neusiedler See Bike Trail

Cyclists can enjoy the broad beds of reeds, the vineyards and the steppes of the Pannonian Plain along this 125-kilometre-long tour around the Neusiedler See in Burgenland.

Cyclists can choose whether to cycle clockwise or anti-clockwise, for parts of the route or the whole way, and can start their tour in any town on the shores of the Neusiedler See. The asphalted and gravelled paths are suitable for all types of bikes.

The nearest bathing beach is always nearby for a refreshment stop. There are also numerous places to stop for a bite to eat.

Those who want to cycle the whole tour can bike a section on Hungarian soil, which requires crossing the border and suitable ID.

Bikers can cycle the shorter, approximately 75-kilometre-long Neusiedler See circuit without crossing the border. It includes a boat passage. Ships and bicycle ferries operate between Illmitz and Mörbisch from April to the end of October. They run every half hour from the beginning of May to the beginning of October.
