Tobogganing in the Stubai Valley

Last updated on April 8th, 2020 at 06:49 am

There are ten natural toboggan runs in the Tyrol’s Stubai valley with a length of over 40 kilometres. The run from the Elfer lift is one of the longest in the Tyrol at around six kilometres.

Four of the toboggan runs are accessible at night thanks to illumination. The Serles runs in Mieders is lit twice a week, the Elferlifte Neustift three times a week and the Schlick 2000 in Fulpmes every Wednesday. The Gleins toboggan run in Schönberg is a permanent day and night toboggan run. The ride down from Elfer to Pinnistal is particularly romantic, with the flickering of lamps illuminating the route.

Every toboggan run has at least one mountain hut that is open for refreshments. All tracks in the Stubaital also bear the natural toboggan run seal of approval, which guarantees a high standard of safety and maintenance.
