Culinary Winter Walks in the Bregenzerwald

The fresh winter air whets your appetite so all the better if the hiking trail includes breaks for refreshments.

In the Bregenzerwald, those who enjoy exercise can set out on three different trails for specially-chosen culinary winter hikes. Each hike can be booked as a day package and leads from breakfast to lunch and on to dessert.

Hikers can enjoy the typical Vorarlberg Käsknöpfle or sweets such as Apfelküchle in a different mountain inn or restaurant. Walking time is between three and a half and four hours.

Guests can choose between the Vorarlberg-Bavaria-Alprunde at Hochhäderich near Hittisau, the river and valley landscape hike from Mellau via Bizau to Bezau, and the gorge and lower pasture hike from Sibratsgfäll to Schönenbach.

Visitors can round off this varied day of hiking with a horse-drawn carriage ride, which can be found in almost every village.
